The Great Khalid Foundation hosted the Sun City Gala with proceeds benefitting our year-round initiatives.

The inaugural black-tie event was held on Saturday, October 2 at the historic Plaza Hotel.

Ticketholders relished in an unforgettable evening featuring live entertainment, a five-course menu,

and silent auction showcasing one-of-a-kind memorabilia and exciting prize packages.

Our Foundation’s namesake, global sensation singer-songwriter Khalid celebrated alongside our guests.

The Great Khalid Foundation programming is rooted in advancing opportunities

in music education and inspiring students to thrive academically.

Since 2019 The Great Khalid Foundation has:

· Awarded $80,000 in academic scholarships

· Celebrated Mother’s Day and Father’s Day with families in need

· Raised awareness surrounding Black history and created opportunities in Fine Arts for local students

· Distributed 1,650 backpacks filled with critical school supplies

· Donated $500,000 in the aftermath of the El Paso shooting allocating scholarship funds for relatives of survivors

· Rejuvenated 2 rural school music programs with instruments, supplies, and equipment

· Supplied 1,000 families in need with ingredients for a complete holiday meal

· Delivered 1,900 brand new toys during the Christmas season
